Product Recall For Nestle Cookie Dough
Nestle has initiated a voluntary product recall for Toll House refrigerated cookie dough products. The recall is related to reports of E. coli illnesses that have been linked to the defective product. It appears that the E. coli incidents have affected consumers who have eaten the cookie dough raw.
Products involved in the recall include:
- Refrigerated cookie bar dough
- Cookie dough tub
- Cookie dough tubes
- Limited edition cookie dough items
- Seasonal cookie dough
- Ultimates cookie bar dough
No other Toll House products have been affected. Nestle states that they include a warning on their packaging that tells consumers not to eat the cookie dough products raw. However, they have chosen to recall these products as a precautionary measure.
So far, there have been 66 cases of E. coli reported from 28 different states. If you have developed E. coli from eating contaminated Toll House cookie dough, it is important to consult an experienced defective product lawyer immediately to find out if you have a valid claim.
