Nicotine Lozenge Recall
Perrigo has issued a recall for 366,936 tubes of 27-count
nicotine lozenges. The recall is for ineffective lozenges sold by CVS Pharmacy,
Foodhold, Kroger, Rite Aid, Target, TopCare, Wal-Mart, and Walgreens in the
states of Arkansas, Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Rhode
Island. While no injuries have been linked to this products, it has shown to be
ineffective at its stated purpose due to a failure to dissolve properly.
